Ministry to Women

Ministry to Women

Ministry to Women addresses the spiritual transformation required for social, physical, and economic challenges. Empowered by faith and rooted in God’s promises women are trained and equipped with the soul of winning ministry and mission.

During the course of the conference year Ministry to Women sponsors a series of activities designed to educate, evaluate, and cultivate meaningful experiences that will enhance our everyday lives. Some of the events include:

  • – Spiritual Retreats
  • – Book Clubs
  • – Transition Training and Education
  • – Sistertalk: Traditions of Faithful Women
  • – Focus on the Family
  • – Multicultural Issues for Women

Women’s Day

Women’s Season begins in March. Women are invited to participate in a series of spiritually based events that lead up to the Women’s Day Celebration in May. In addition, the Women’s Ministry sponsors:

  • – Good Friday Seven Women at the Cross Service

Barbara Evans Prayer Band

This ministry is inspired by the Holy Spirit to intercede and pray for the church at various times. Prayer warriors meet in the sanctuary prior to worship and celebrations to ask for God’s anointing, presence and power. Prayer vigils and fasting are incorporated into the overall ministry as God’s fulfillment is sought for the church and His people.

Women Connected Ministry

This ministry is one of the exciting dimensions of the Ministry to Women sponsoring activities that spiritually encourage, unite and “connect” the women of the church and offer acts of kindness to those within the church and outreach throughout the community. During the year some of the activities include:

  • – Women Connected Breakfast
  • – Advent Worship Service
  • – Children Hospital Outreach (“Christmas Snowpile”)
  • – Women’s Prayer Vigil
  • – Down by the River Prayer Hour/Outreach
