The academy is an extension of the Master’s Men Ministry and is designed for young boys in the church who are between 7 and 16 years old. Modeled after the Master’s Men School of the Prophets, the Young Prophets Academy is a spiritual and academic Afro–Centric ministry that mentors and trains young men to be positive role models in their homes, community and church. To this end, the curriculum is developed to teach biblical principles and values. Upon course completion, a Rites of Passage Ceremony is held to officially pin and honor all accomplishments.
This is a mentoring ministry designed to enhance and enrich the lives of young ladies in the body of Christ by conducting Biblically–based, yet practical, classes and workshops. The sessions are designed to teach them to be self–confident and self–motivated Christian disciples. Upon course completion, a Rites of Passage Ceremony is held to officially pin and honor all accomplishments.
Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops meet every Thursday at 6 PM except during the months of January and August.
Girls 5 to 18 years old are invited to attend scouting meetings held on second and fourth Tuesdays at 6 PM excluding the month of August.
This dance troupe consists of two groups. One includes young people ages 6–18 and the other is composed of adults. These groups praise the Lord through dance and pageantry at church services, church events, and other outside venues. They come together as they praise the Lord in dance.
The summer academy presents an innovative alternative to traditional Vacation Bible School for children ages 6–13. The curriculum includes arts and crafts, Bible classes, field trips, career workshops and recreational activities.
Sponsored by the Missionary Society, the Y.P.D. provides youth training programs in all areas of church life with a goal of giving young people the knowledge to fully participate in fulfilling the church’s mission. In addition to offering leadership opportunities, the Y.P.D. provides training in Evangelism, Christian Social Relations, and Education with the intent of increasing knowledge and understanding of the A.M.E.C. history and the Word of God.
Each year, two youths are selected to serve as chairpersons for the Youth Day Celebration. Youth Day is marked by a series of spiritual experiences, which culminate in a worship service on the second Sunday in June. All young people are encouraged to participate in these spiritually enriching activities.

Every third Sunday at 11 a.m., the worship service is designated as a Youth Service. Children from ages 8 to 18 are selected to participate in the service by leading the liturgy. The Nu Life Choir and Sunbeam Choirs render selections as well as the Liturgical Dancers.
